Writing to your MP is arguably the most effective way to make your voice heard. You can use this template or create your own if you want to make it more personal.
When writing the letter, it is important to keep it simple and concise! The key issue is thiamethoxam. Make sure to read through and understand the reasoning why the pesticide is harmful and put it in your own words in the letter. We want the following actions from our MPs: To speak up in parliament demanding the immediate ban of thiamethoxam in all circumstances, to table a debate in parliament on the issue, to set up a meeting with the relevant minister, and to publicise and campaign against the government’s allowance of the pesticide. Let us and others know you have sent a letter to your MP on the issue on social media, advising others to do the same, with the hashtag #BuzzOffNeonics.
